ADDIE PEARL "MOTHER" HUNT", the daughter of Garrett Chambers Sr and Mother Louise Watkins Chambers was born on September 11, 1938.
On Sunday July 10, 2022, Mother Hunt went home to be with Jesus. She answered the salvation call of Jesus and confessed that Jesus suffered, bled, and died and rose again on the third day. Until her last breath she loved fellowshipping with her Church of Jesus family in Hopkinsville, KY.
Mother Hunt united in Holy Matrimony to her beloved husband the late Clarence E. Hunt Together they raised a total of 10 children. She was preceded in death by beloved husband Clarence Hunt Sr, four sons Clarence E. Hunt Jr, Mervin Hunt, Robert "Bobby" Hunt, Anthony Hunt Sr, and two grandsons Adonis Hunt and Archie Atkins Jr, parents Garrett and Mother Louise Chambers and brothers James, Edward, Thurman, and Russell Chambers.
Mother Hunt had so many gifts that Jesus blessed her with. Cooking, sewing, making dolls, and her favorite was "THE YARD SALE QUEEN" so she could repurpose beautiful things. She was a beloved Mother, Granny and friend to many and had a heart full of Jesus for all souls. She loved telling others how Jesus suffered, bled, and died and rose again on the third day so that we too can be looking at Jesus face to face in ALL OF HIS GLORY!!!
She leaves to cherish her memory, all of Hopkinsville, KY, two sons James Oliver Hunt and Joseph Wayne Hunt Sr both of Hopkinsville, KY. Four daughters, Marva Beverly Majors (John), Venita "Nita" (Rubin) Hayes, Luanna "Anna" Hunt (Jerry), Cynthia Lynn (Archie) Atkins all of Hopkinsville, KY. One brother Matthew Chambers (Texas), Five sisters, Anna Torian (Indiana), Annie "Caudie" Oliver (Texas) Zola Donaby (Illinois), Carolyn (Fred) Sowerby (Hopkinsville, KY), Donna (Fred) Glass (Tennessee).. A huge host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren, beloved Aunts, Uncles, nephews, cousins, numerous unofficially adopted people who called her Mom, other relatives and numerous friends.
