Alberta Irvin Holloway, 94, Hopkinsville, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023, in Hopkinsville, KY.

Alberta was the daughter of the late Robert Irvin and Mattie Sue Armstrong Ford. She was born April 6, 1929, in Hopkinsville, KY.

Alberta was a member of Virginia Street Baptist Church where she was a member of the Virginians, Deaconess, Gleamers Women's Organization, and a member of the 50 year Club. She had the oldest membership of Virginia Street Baptist Church.

She enjoyed being a mother and wife, cooking, singing, watching soap operas, making pottery & wood crafting, and history. She was a member of the Democratic Women's Party, den mother for boy scouts and a band booster member.  She was also a member of the Dorcus Missionary Society. Alberta volunteered and was heavily involved within the community.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roger W. Holloway, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Marsha Williams, Rosalind Holloway, Donald (Barbara) Holloway, Ronald Holloway, Roger W. Holloway III; grandchildren, Amanda Rosalind Holloway and Caleb Paul Williams.
