Barbara Ann Ware Coates, 71, Hopkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in Madisonville, KY.

Barbara was the daughter of Terry "Ted" Ware, Sr. and Bertha Ladd Harris. She was a member of Gainesville Baptist Church and a Cosmetologist at Adams Beauty Salon.

Barbara loved the LORD and was a family person. She enjoyed cooking, working crossword puzzles, and spending time with family. She enjoyed helping people and feeding the children in the neighborhood. She was "The GG Club" to all her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Herman T. Coates, III.; sister, A. Ladd.

Survivors include her children, Michael S. (Charmaine) Ware, Von Coates, Janaire (Lionel) Watkins, Jana Coates; siblings, Elna Pearl Ware Pease, Patricia "Diane" (Marcus) Newton, Terry Ware, Jr., Jerry (Carla) Ware, Calvin Ware, Kathy (Sammie) Croney, Esterline Cruite, Kenneth (Joyce) Packo, Monica Ware, Sherry Caldwell, Betty Ware, and Eleanora Torian; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
