Bennett Kurt Johnson, 60, Hopkinsville, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025, in Hopkinsville, KY.

Bennett, the son of the late Bennie Shelton and Shirley Fay Johnson, was born on December 23, 1964, in Christian Co. KY.

At an early age, Bennett joined McCarroll Hill Baptist Church. He was employed as a cook at Hardee's. He enjoyed working on cars, sports, cooking, and listening to music.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Jahmir Shane; Sisters, Benita Shelton, Debra Shelton, and Diane Shelton.

Survivors include his daughter, Aliyah Shane; Siblings, Anthony (Laquita) Shelton, Katina (William) Smith, Thomas (Tanya) Boyd, Bonnie K. Shelton, and Donnie Shelton; Grandchild, Ja'Lyeonna Shane; A host of nieces and nephews.
