Bertha Nell Bussell, 87, Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in Hopkinsville, KY.

Bertha was the daughter of the late Henry and Louise Bussell. She was born on December 4, 1936, in Hopkinsville, KY.

Bertha was a member of Durrett Avenue Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Chorus, Mass Choir, Usher Ministry, and the Carnation Club. She was a Foster Grandparent at Head start and employed at International Shoe Factory.

Bertha enjoyed cooking, working word search puzzles, planting flowers, and attending church. She was a fashion diva that enjoyed shopping.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, George Bussell, Milton Bussell, and Joyce Dorsey.

Survivors include her children, Edward Dillard, Sandra Bussell, Beverly Bush, Holland (Jacquline) Bussell, Sr., B. Fontella Bussell; Siblings Gloria Slayton, Wanda Willis, Douglas (Yom) Bussell; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, and cousins.
