Bertha Mae Quarles Watkins, 76, Oak Grove, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024, in Christian CO.

Bertha was the daughter of the late William C. Quarles, Sr. and Amy Lula Dickerson. She was born on March 15, 1948, in Christian CO. KY.

Bertha was a member of St. Bethlehem Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Choir, Usher and Mother's Board.

Bertha was employed as a Nurse's Aide with Medco in Pembroke. She enjoyed playing BINGO, lottery and spending time with her family, and cooking. She was very loving and caring. She was a member of Mid-Age Social Club.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joe M. Watkins; children, Carolyn Canty and Christopher Oneal Quarles; siblings, William Clarence Quarles, Jr. Annie Sue Quarles, Isaac Quarles, Virgie Quarles, Yvonne A. Quarles, and Angela Quarles.

Survivors include her children, Celetia Quarles, Catel (LaJon) Jones, Cyrius Quarles; siblings, Ora Louise Bell, Callie Jean Chambers, Bettie (Qullie) Womack, Vernon (Janie) Quarles, Joyce (Walter) Henderson, James (Angela) Quarles, Clarissa (John) Hopewell, Lydia Quarles, Lawerance Quarles, Bryant Quarles; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; special niece, Geraldine Tucker; lifetime partner, Donald (Duck) Finn; a host of nieces and nephews.
