Bertha Helen Metcalfe White, 81, of Hopkinsville, passed away on January 14, 2026, in Madisonville, KY.

Bertha was a member of Gainesville Baptist Church. She served as an usher, Sunday school teacher, and sang in the church choir as well as the mother's board. She was the Certified owner of Bert's Kiddie Land Home Daycare. She enjoyed cooking, puzzle books, Shopping, and spending time with family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James William White; daughters, Christine Haskins, Lolita Simmons; son, Jimmy Lee White.

Survivors include children; Barbara Baker, Sandra Wallace (James), James A. White, Anna Trice (John), Tina Lesueur (Lonnie), and Vicky Anderson (Michael); siblings; Roma Northington, Levola Forrest, Alphonzo Bailey, Ramona Cayce (Jon Paul), Luthedis Brown (Gerald), and John Ray Green; Devoted sons in laws, Joseph Simmons III, Willis Haskins; Twenty-two grandchildren; Forty-one great-grandchildren; Ten great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
