Bessie Lee Leavell Carpenter, 97, Elkton, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, in Elkton, KY.

Bessie was the daughter of the late Jake Dunbar Leavell and Hattie Maria Trice Leavell. She was born on September 17, 1926, in Todd. Co. Ky

Bessie was a member of The Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church in Cleveland, OH. She was previously employed at Thompson Ramo Woodridge for 35 years as an assembly worker. She enjoyed bowling, softball, and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death her brother, Charlie Leavell; sisters, JoAnn Leavell,Mattie Clardy and Littie Bell Leavell.

Survivors include 6 nieces; a host of great nieces and great nephews.
