Bessie Mae Pinner Herring, 83, Clarksville, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, in Clarksville, TN.

Bessie, the daughter of the late Gartha Henry Penner and Jordie Mae Thacker, was born on November 2, 1941, in Christian County, KY.

Bessie was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church for over 70 years. She was employed in production at Mid-Continent Springs.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, and going to yard sales. She was an Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her children, Aaron Herring, Jordie Carter, and Charles Herring; Granddaughter, Aniya Collins.

Survivors include her children, Tinia Pinner, James (Darlene) Pinner, Pansy Smith, Gartha "Danny" Herring, Darrion Herring, Willie A. (Yvonne) Ennels, Sr., Suzettie (Donald, Sr.) Thornton; Brother, William (Gwen) Edwards; 25 grandchildren; a host of great and great-great grandchildren; Best friend, Marie Willis; Nieces, Amy (Donnie, Jr.) Catlett and Anissa (Melvin) Curtis; Nephew, Angelo Edwards.
