Bettye Louis McGowan, 64, died Monday, March 15, 2021 at her home of natural causes.

A native of Christian County, she was born November 29, 1956, daughter of the late Louis T. McGowan and Lois Elizabeth Mockabee McGowan.

Bettye was a member of Durrett Avenue Baptist Church. She served as a member of the Choir, Carnation Club and the Culinary Committee.

Bettye was employed as a Cosmetologist she was also a member of the Kings & Queens Motorcycle Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Britt and Frances Barnwell.

She is survived by her daughter, Dineka McGowan, Three siblings, Lanell Peterson, Joe Douglas (Roni) McGowan, and Shirley Brewer.  And two grandchildren.
