Catherine Waddell, 82, Hopkinsville, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in Nashville, TN.

Catherine was the daughter of the late Paul Waddell and Emma Catlett Hopson. She was born on October 12, 1941, in Christian Co. KY.

Catherine was a member of St. John Baptist Church where she was the oldest member, a member of the kitchen committee, attended Sunday School faithfully, and remained a faithful member until her death. She was employed in the Dietary Department at Christian Health Nursing Home.

Catherine loved cooking. She loved her family, most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She would greet everyone with a warm and loving smile. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Ricky L. "Hank" Waddell; siblings, E.W. Waddell and Alvin Hopson.

Survivors include her children, Anthony Maurice Waddell, Frances Latangela Edwards, Clarice Yolanda (Michael) Burse, Rosaland Anita Waddell, Stephanie Arlene Garriga, Kim Rosena Waddell, Nancy Louise Green, and Iris Selene Waddell; siblings, Paul E. (Shirley) Waddell, Rev. Paul (Sharon) Lovan, Lula Mae (Mike Brody) Mason, Loretta Delois (Gary Barker) Hudson, Lee Allen Hopson, William Earl Hopson, Ellery Desmond (Jennifer) Hopson, and Larry Darnell Hopson; 29 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; a devoted companion of 40 years, Harrison Crump, Sr., a host of nieces and nephews.
