Charlene Watkins Hairston, 73, Christian County, died Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

A native of Christian County, she was born February 21, 1948 daughter of the late Charles Watkins and Eddie Lee Watkins. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lorene Day, Rebecca Williams, two brothers, Joe Michael Watkins and Edward Garrett.

Survivors include nine children, Robert Watkins, Patricia Cullens, Shantaue Quarles, Monica Jackson, Tonka Watkins, Kenneth Watkins, Lynette Watkins, Christopher Watkins, Tanishia Watkins, two brothers, Carl Watkins and Clifford Williams. Twenty-four grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren.
