Charles Jerry "JP" Hopson was born March 15, 1931 in Christian Co. KY. to the late Herman Hopson and the late Maggie Brime Hopson.  He retired from the Christian County School System as a Bus Driver.  He had also worked as a Farmer for many years.  In addition he had served two years in the U S Army.

He was a faithful member of First Street Baptist Church where he held the offices of Deacon and Trustee. Hopkinsville, KY.

Charles Jerry "JP" Hopson passed away on July 17, 2020 at Bradford Heights Rehabilitation Center Hopkinsville, KY.

Survivors:

Spouse: Emma Jean Davie Hopson

Children: Charles E. Hopson, Terry (Karen) Hopson, Angela Lax, and Rozeta Hopson Robinson

Sister: Anna Belle Ivory

Daughter-In-Law: Janet Hopson

Devoted Grandchildren: Christiana Moore, and Christopher Moore

He was preceded in death by 1 Son: Phillip Hopson, and 13 Siblings

He leaves to mourn his passing 21 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, A Host of Family and Friends

A Walk-Thru Visitation will be held from 10:00AM to 11:30AM on 07/24/2020 at Gamble Funeral Home Hopkinsville, KY.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00PM on 07/24/2020 with limited capacity due to social distancing at Gamble Funeral Home Hopkinsville, KY.

Burial will be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West Hopkinsville, KY.
