Christy Inez Sanders, 68 passed away, Friday, September 17, 2021 at Tristar Skyline, Nashville, TN of natural causes.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Durrett Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Day officiating. Burial will be in Cave Springs Cemetery. There will be a Walk Thru visitation Friday, 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Church. Masks are required. Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Christian County, she was born February 15, 1953, to Irene Burse Williams, Hopkinsville, KY and the late James Sanders.

Christy was a member of Durrett Avenue Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

She worked for a short term in the Fashion Design Industry. She was also employed several years in the Housekeeping Department with Travel Lodge.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brother, Gregory Burse, James R. Sanders.

She is survived by her mother, Irene Burse Williams, two children, Tony Sanders and Shakiya Sanders, Hopkinsville, KY. Ten siblings, Vivian Burse, Hopkinsville, KY; Harold (Darlene) Burse, Killeen, TX; Michael (Clarice) Burse, Frankfort, KY; Jacqueline Burse, O'phelia Burse, Melvin Burse, Darriel (Linda) Burse, Jeffery Burse, Chantessa Benson, Hopkinsville, KY; Amy (Lawrence) Stewart, Clarksville, TN; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
