Clattie Mae Stubbs, born April 15, 1931, departed this life on October 12, 2026, at the age of 95.

“

she found happiness in dancing, watching soap operas, watching Family Feud, and, above all, spending time with her family

Mrs. Stubbs will be remembered as a woman whose life was rooted in faith, family, and simple joys. She attended Attucks High School and later worked in laundry at Fort Campbell. Outside of her work, she found happiness in dancing, watching soap operas, watching Family Feud, and, above all, spending time with her family.

A lasting source of pride in her life was her deep and faithful commitment to Virginia Street Baptist Church, where she was a member for more than 70 years. During those many years, she also served as an usher and choir member, offering her time, presence, and devotion to her church family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Paulette Atkins, David (Carrie) Stubbs, Shirley Stubbs, Donald Ray Stubbs, Gloria Jean (fronzo) Cotton, and Valerie Isley, as well as her sister, Loretta Long; 18 grandchildren; host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The love she shared with her family was one of the great blessings of her life, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her best.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lottie Dillard; her father, Norman Dillard; her daughter, Joyce Miles Bradford; her brothers, Charles Dillard and Harry Dillard; her sisters, Mildred Dillard, Irene Bailey, Corrine Boudreaux, and Rosa Carrington; and her grandchildren, Eric Jackson, Tiffany Stubbs, and Makayla Smith.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on October 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Virginia Street Baptist Church, 209 South Virginia Street, Hopkinsville, Kentucky 42240. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place at Cave Springs Cemetery, 2120 Greenville Road, Hopkinsville, Kentucky 42240.

Clattie Mae Stubbs leaves behind a legacy of devotion, warmth, and enduring love. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
