Claude Dean Sanders, 90, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at his home in Hopkinsville, Ky of natural causes.

Claude was born October 27, 1930 in Four Oaks, North Carolina, son of the late Garther and Mattie Nixon Sanders.

Claude was a member of Virginia Street Baptist, there he served as a Deacon and a member of the Men Chorus.

Claude retired from the US Army after serving 27 years. He later retired as a Christian County Deputy Jailer.

Claude was preceded in death by his wife, Cassie M. Sanders.

He is survived by his children, Craigie Sanders, Deloria Scott, Nannetta (Rev. Julius) Sanders-Catlett, and Cecilia Wallace. One sister, Annie Sims, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
