Obituary

Mr. Clayton Wesley Wadlington, son of the late Charlie Bell Wadlington and Mattie Bell Radford Wadlington was born on June 8, 1958 in Trigg County. He entered into eternity on April 24, 2020.
For WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED. Romans 10:13
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined the Cave Spring Missionary Baptist Church in Cerulean, KY. He loved his Church and his job as a Sunday School Librarian. Also, on November 17, 2001 Clayton received an appreciation certificate for his dedicated service on the Usher Board. He was a faithful member until his health prevented him from being a part of the Worship Service. He remained strong in his faith and shared personal testimonies with his family.
Clayton was a graduate of Trigg County High School in 1978. He worked on the family farm. His hobbies and leisure activities were watching wrestling and his favorite wrestlers were Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock Dwayne Johnson. Also, he enjoyed walking, working jigsaw and word search puzzles, reading newspapers and magazines and listening to music. Two of his favorite soap operas were "The Young and the Restless" and "Days of Our Lives" which he started watching them at home with his Mother, brothers and sisters. Last, but not least Clayton enjoyed celebrating holidays and special events such as, Christmas and his birthday.
Along with his parents, he was preceded into eternity by his brothers Ivan Wadlington and Charlie Henry Wadlington.
Mr. Clayton Wesley Wadlington leaves to cherish his loving memory, sisters: Emma Jane Rascoe (a devoted sister), Verna Watkins, Rheda Pauline (Kenneth) Gibson, Linda (Tony) Baker, and Loretta Wadlington. Brothers: Harris Boyd, Charles (Peggy) Irvin, Jr., James (Patricia) Wadlington, Richard (Greta) Wadlington, Robert (Laura) Wadlington, and Neal (Ella) Wadlington. Clayton had special relationships with his nieces and nephews. Sheana Rascoe Foster (devoted niece and caregiver), Maurice Jackson, Tyrone Wadlington, Nicole Wadlington, Kelley Wadlington, Devon Wadlington, TR Baker, Ivan Baker, Robyn Burns, Kiara, Quinn and DJ Foster and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A private funeral for the immediate family only, due to social distancing will be held at Gamble Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Cave Spring Cemetery in Cerulean, KY.
