On Wednesday, May 25, 1966, in Springfield, Tennessee, Darryl Nathaniel Fort was born to the late Pastor Lennie and Odessa Jordan Fort.
In his youth, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and joined the Covington's Chapel Church, where his father baptized him. He later joined the Guildfield Baptist, serving as an Usher and a member of the Choir.
Darryl was an employee of Trane. He worked there for thirty-eight years, and he was currently the Team Leader. He was also on the Trane's softball team. In his spare time, Darryl enjoyed cooking, grilling, fishing, gardening, picking greens, working on the Wilcox Farm, and spending time with family. He had a big heart, always helping people and feeding others. He loved listening to gospel music and the Temptations. Darryl was an outstanding basketball player for Northeast High School.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the age of 59. Darryl departed from this life. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Cyerra Fort, and son, Nathan Fort. Siblings Glory Ussery, Carolyn Nicholson, Paulin Bellamy, Vivian Snorton, Jackie (Janice) Fort, Alfred (Marrion) Fort, Pastor Fred (Carolyn Sue) Fort, Rubye (Albert) Garrett, Brenda Fort, Regina Fort, Rev. Steven (Lenora) Fort, and Pastor M.O. (Renee) Fort. Two grandchildren, "Lilman" and Monae, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a devoted companion, Shelia Goliday, and the entire Goliday family.
