Deborah Vernay Whitlock, 70, Hopkinsville, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, in Louisville, KY.

Deborah, the daughter of the late Gilford Grubbs, Sr. and Onnie Grubbs, was born on May 5, 1954, in Christian Co., KY.

Deborah was a member of Good Shepherd Church where she served on the Mother's Board, Usher Ministry, and Pastor's Aid. She was a nurses aide and Medco Nursing Home. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, spending time with her family and friends, and praising the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Whitlock, Jr.; Siblings, De Marlow "Baby Face" Grubbs, Gilford "Slim" Grubbs, Jr., Alice Peterson, Annette Poindexter, Reaver N. McGaha, and Sylvia Atkins; Granddaughter, Aianeon Nashea Grubbs.

Survivors include her sons, Jamil "Teddy" Muhammad, Timothy D. Grubbs, and Eric Grubbs; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchidlren; Devoted niece, Kimberly Lucas.
