Doris Ruth Artis Edwards was born May 24, 1956 in Beaumont, TX. to the late Walter Artis and the late Aletha Anderson Artis.  She was a Domestic Homemaker.

In her spare time she enjoyed Cooking, Listening to Music, and Spending quality time with her Family.

She was a member of Foston Chapel Baptist Church Hopkinsville, KY.  Where she was a faithful member of the Usher Board.

Doris Ruth Artis Edwards passed away on July 26, 2020 at her residence in Hopkinsville, KY.

Survivors:

Children: Cybil Kaye Artis, Ida Ruth Artis, and Sabrina Artis

Sister: Dorothy Jean Artis James

Brother: Gregory James Artis

Adopted Son: James Quarles

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Charlie W. Edwards, 3 Brothers, 2 Sisters, and 1 Son Edwin S Artis

She leaves to mourn 12 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, and  A Host of Family and Friends

A Walk-Thru Visitation will be held on 07/31/2020 from 11:30AM to 12:30PM at Gamble Funeral Home Hopkinsville, KY.

Funeral Services will be held on 07/31/2020 at 1:00PM with limited capacity due to social distancing at Gamble Funeral Home Hopkinsville, KY.

Burial will be held at Cave Spring Cemetery  Cerulean, KY.
