Douglas Rudolph Merriweather, 73, Christian County, died Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Bradford Heights Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

A native of Christian County, he was born April 10, 1948, son of the late Johnnie and Lucille Elam Merriweather.

Douglas was a member of Princeton Street Baptist Church. He was a US Army Veteran. He had also worked several years for Flynn's Enterprise.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnnie Merriweather, Jr. and Robert Merriweather.

Survivors include six siblings, Virginia (Rev. Bruce) Kendrick, Ruth Ann Anderson, Barbara Shipp, Lisa Lopez, Stanley Merriweather, and Paul (Phyllis) Merriweather.
