Earl Ford Snorton, 81, of Battle Creek, went to be with his Lord on November 21, 2021.
He was born on September 22, 1940 to Solomon Snorton and Thelma L. Armstrong in Crofton, KY. After high school, Earl joined the US Army as a Motor Transportation Operator. He served his country in Europe and received an Honorable Discharge. Earl was employed by Clark Equipment and the City of Battle Creek Public Works.
Earl is survived by his son, Marvin Snorton of Valrico, FL; two daughters, Earla Snorton of Battle Creek, MI and Angela Snorton (Larz Smith) of Cordova, TN; his brother, Kevin (Brandi) Smith of Kalamazoo, MI; grandchildren, Robert Snorton, Xavier Snorton, Ruben Whimper, Sasha McCreary and Chynia McCreary; sister-in-law, Lucille Snorton; beloved dog "Chip" and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marvin Snorton and Clayton Smith.
Earl's relationship with Christ was very important to him. He was involved in an outreach ministry in Kalamazoo, MI and loved to read the Bible. He enjoyed listening to music, watching Soul Train, Showtime at the Apollo, court shows and stand-up comedy. Earl loved his dogs and enjoyed training them. Most important to him was his relationship with God and his family. Earl will be remembered as a loving father and friend to all that knew him.
