E.D. Dillard, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 90. He was born on October 6, 1935, in Trigg County, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by faith, steady work, and devotion to the people and pursuits he valued most.

Mr. Dillard worked as a mill worker at Kent Feed Mill. He was also a man who enjoyed the outdoors and found pleasure in fishing, hunting, and farming. These interests reflected a life rooted in hard work, patience, and an appreciation for the land.

A faithful member of Little River Baptist Church, Mr. Dillard served his church family as both a Trustee and a Deacon. His commitment to his faith and to the responsibilities entrusted to him was an important part of his life and a lasting part of his legacy.

He is survived by his wife, Maragret Mathis Dillard, and by his children, Elvis D. Colbert, Delilah U. Dillard, Kenny L. (Pamela) Dillard, Danita M. Dillard, and Darryl M. Dillard. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles Dillard and Mack Dillard, and by his sister, Carolyn Dillard. He also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. May his family find comfort in the memories they shared with him and in the enduring example of his faith, work, and love.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Dillard; his mother, Rosie Jones Dillard; his sisters, Martha Dillard, Lucy Bacon, Johnnie Wilson, and Virginia McCombs; and his brothers, R.C. Dillard, James Dillard, and Henry Dillard.

E.D. Dillard will be remembered with respect and affection by those who knew him, and his memory will remain a blessing to his family, friends, and church community.
