Retired 1st SGT Edward Todd, JR., passed away  on Monday, December 8, 2025, in Clarksville, TN.

Edward, the son of the late Edward Todd, SR., and Gwendolyn Davis, was born on February 20, 1941, in Memphis, TN.

Edward was a member of Freeman Chapel CME  and was previously employed as a LPN for Job Corp. After 30 years of service to the U.S. ARMY he retired. He enjoyed yard work, pruning and nurturing roses, racquetball, discussing history and all current events. He was an avid reader and a no-nonsense type of person. He enjoyed encouraging the youth and was a military "recruiter".

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Gregory Todd, Sr.; sister, Blanche Todd Thomas; and only 1st cousin, Laverne Martin.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Willie Frances "Billie" Todd; daughters, Sharon Todd and Felicia (Robert) Todd-Jones; daughter-in-law, Pastor Bridgette Todd; sisters, Pamela Todd and Dorothy Gamble-Matthews; stepsisters, Sandra Perkins, Mattie Dennis, Elizabeth Dock; stepbrother, James Perkins; grandchildren, Shannon Beard, Joshua Grays, Edward Todd III, Gregory Todd, JR., and Michael Todd; great grandchildren, Shalanee Triplett, Jordan Grays, Jaylon Grays, and Anya Todd; ex wife, Verna Todd-Bramlett; a host of nieces and nephews.
