Emma Henry Bacon, 109, Hopkinsville, died at 10:25 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Covington Convalescent Center, Hopkinsville of natural causes.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2020 at Gamble Funeral Home with the Rev. M.O. Fort officiating.  Burial will be in Cave Springs Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Gamble Funeral Home.

A native of Christian County, Kentucky, she was born March 26, 1911, daughter of the late Ulysses Bacon and Bertha Tandy Bacon.  She was a retired Teacher having taught in the Christian County School System for 40 years.  She was a member of Virginia Street Baptist Church where she served in several organizations and auxiliaries of the church: Fifty Year Club, Adults for Progress Sunday School Class, Dorcas Missionary Society, Circle #3 Missionary Society.  She was also the assistant pianist for the Children's Choir and Worship and was teacher in the Children's Department of the Sunday School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, her brother-Upshaw Bacon and three sisters, Bertha Henderson, Ophelia Southall and Arletta Bacon.
