Erica Meshae Blane James, 52, Hopkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in Nashville, TN.

Erica was the daughter of the late Robert and Bernice Blaine. She was born on May 14, 1971, in Christian CO. KY.

Erica was a member of Gracey Church but attended Hill Crest Baptist Church. She was employed as a cashier with Max Fuel. She enjoyed cooking and baking, spending time and going out to eat with her family, and taking care of people. She believed in tough love and loved her grandchildren. She loved dogs.

Survivors include her children, Derrick Blaine, DeErica Elliott, Camaya James, and Capaul James, Jr.; siblings, Lucille (Claude) Copeland, Janie Nicholas, Demetria Cager, Diane Leavell, Lamonte (Anesha) Blaine, Vanessa Blaine, Robert Blaine Jr., Jerome Bussell, and Jackie Bussell; uncle, William Leavell; 10 grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
