Ester Young Butler, 72, died Monday, January 11, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital, Evansville, IN of natural causes.

A native of Christian County, she was born August 29, 1948, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Frances Cross Young, Jr.

Ester was a member of St. Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served as First Lady. She was also a member of the Choir, Deaconess Ministry and Teacher. She was an LPN at Jennie Stuart Medical Center, she retired after 44 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers-James Young, Lawrence R. Young and one great-grandchild-Adalynn Joi Fort.

Survivors include her husband-Rev.Roland Butler, Jr., children-Karen (Tim) Evans, Karol (Rev. Kenny) Jones, Christine Butler, Lithia Springs, GA; Renee ( Dr. Mitchell) Fort, Hopkinsville, KY and Rev. Roland (Kesha) Butler, III, Lebanon, TN; eight siblings-Gary Young, Gloria Young, Mark (Dr. Alissa) Young, Hopkinsville, KY; Arthur (Fredessa) Young, Pembroke, KY; Teresa (Ronald) Graham, Clarksville, TN; Larry Lewis, Wynyard, Tasmania; Karen Lewis Robey, Clarksville, TN; Dwight "Stevie" Lewis, Pembroke, KY; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren
