Obituary

Fermina Hernandez Gray aka Mina to her friends, Mom to her children and Grandma to her grandchildren was taken to be with Jesus July 24th, 2026. Mom always had her hands full raising 5 children, but she always made time to spend with her family and serving in different ministries at church. Mom loved the Lord with her whole heart.

Although, life took tremendous hits on her, Mom never gave up. Mom was born in San Antonio, TX and yes, she loved her Spurs! Mom loved spending time with her grandchildren, they all ignited a love and joy that could not measured.

She loved the outdoors, the smell of fresh cut grass, a cut rose off the bush, the feeling of the sun on her, sand under her toes, she loved being outdoors. She loved the free spirit of a dragonfly, and the beauty in a hummingbird.

She would light up a dark room the moment she walked into it. She rarely took "no" for an answer. She loved to decorate the life she made both indoors and outdoors, she was full of creativity and blessed with talents for it too. She had a identifying squeaky laugh and gave the best hugs. To her, life was a party, she loved it, at any given moment at any given place, she could break out in a dance that captivated her friends and grandchildren and soon, everyone would be dancing. She was a beautiful dancer and loved to teach others how to dance.

Mom taught us how to be brave, even when it looks like defeat, she taught us respect, love, discipline, the difference between right and wrong, responsibilities, and the value and reward of hard work. Mom never gave up, even in the face of adversity countless times, she persevered with a smile on her face, even through the pain. She is now at peace and no longer battling life. The fight has been won!She is survived by her husband, 5 children, 11 grandchildren, sister and 2 brothers, countless cousins and extended family members who cherish the time spent with her. With so much love Mom, you will forever be missed and loved.
