Florence Johnson, 98, died Monday, June 28, 2021 at Christian Health Center of natural causes.

A native of Christian County, she was born April 16, 1923, daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Morris Johnson.

Florence was a member of Durrett Avenue Baptist Church, there she served on the Mother's Board and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a former member of the Usher Board and past Vice-president of the Carnation Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters, Florene (Willie) Kendrick and Linda L. Browder, two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
