Gene Wakely "Cheater" Metcalfe, 71 passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at his home in Hopkinsville, KY.

Born in Hopkinsville, KY on December 13, 1950, he was the son of the late Robert Metcalfe Sr. and Fannie Mae Moss.

Gene as he was affectionally called "Cheater" was a member of First Street Missionary Baptist Church.  He was formally employed as a factory worker with Pop Fastener Company.

He enjoyed music, cooking, grilling, and hanging out with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son- Gene Lamont Childs, two brothers-Kenneth Wilson, Robert Metcalfe Jr.

He is survived by his sisters: Fannie Hunter (Herman Brison), and Bertha White.

3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
