Gene Lamont Childs, Sr, 50, died, Friday, February 12, 2021 in Harvey, LA.

A native of Chicago, IL he was born February 5, 1971, son of Janice L. Childs and Gene Metcalfe.

Gene was a member of Virginia Street Baptist Church, and was most recently employed at Domino Sugar Refinery.

Gene is survived by his wife, Veanca Clarks Childs, his children, Gene L. Childs, Jr., Brinae Childs, and Demond Childs. His mother, Janice L. Childs,  his father Gene Metcalfe,  siblings, William (Shavone) Childs, Thomas (Yvette) Childs, and Tonya Childs, and two grandchildren.
