Gladys Nell Rascoe Brasher, 94, Lavergne, Tennessee, passed on Sunday, May 28, 2023.

Gladys was the daughter of the late Lars and Lucille Rascoe and was born February 26, 1929, in Christian County, KY.

Gladys was a member of Greater Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church and worked in production at General Motors. She was very active in church and was a part of the Editorial Ministry, Usher Board Ministry, Sunday School Teacher, Baptist Training Union, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Bible Study, Pastor's Aide, Kitchen Ministry Leader, Nurse Ministry, Music Ministry, Mass Choir, Missionary Ministry, Food Pantry, and the Wrecking Crew. She was awarded the Volunteer of the year from Indiana Black Expo. She was also affiliated with the Circle City Classic Parade, Summer Youth Academy (Volunteer), and Indiana Baptist Youth Camp.

She enjoyed helping people, attending church functions, and community service.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Joe Brasher; son, Pastor Frank L. Larkins; grandson, Anthony Larkins; siblings, Eugene Rascoe, Katrina White, Nina Pollard, Candy Howard, and Frances Mckee.

Survivors include her siblings, Lars E. (Bessie) Rascoe, Jr., Rev. Arthur (Cynthia) Thomas Rascoe; daughter in law, Lydia Larkins; grandchildren, Frank Larkins, Jr., Candy Henry, and Tim (Esha) Green; 13 great-grandchildren; and 28 great great-grandchildren
