James Elijah Fields, Sr., 61, died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his home of natural causes.

A native of North Hampton County, NC, he was born July 23, 1959, the son of the late James S. and Bessie Ruth Lawrence Fields.

James was a US Army Veteran. He was currently employed as a Senior Mate for Ingram Barge Company.

He is survived by his wife-Margaret Love Fields, Hopkinsville, KY; son-James Fields, Jr., Many, LA; four daughters-Patricia F. Love, Tanisha Curlin, Rona Curlin, Hopkinsville, KY, Chanel Curlin, Louisville, KY. Siblings-Constance F. Chandler, Ahoskie, NC; John C. Fields, Scotland Neck, NC; Belinda F. Caudle, Rocky Mount, NC; Anthony Fields, Richmond, VA; Lala F. (Michael) Russell, Scotland Neck, NC; Rev. Cynthia M. Tillery, Rocky Mount, NC; Sylvia E. Fields, Ahoskie, NC; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
