James "Fox" Bryant, 73, Hopkinsville, passed on Monday, January 1, 2024, of natural causes.
James was born to the late Kathleen Russell Bryant. He was raised by his late aunt and uncle, Herbert and Ella Bryant. He was born on March 15, 1950, in Wayne County, North Carolina.
James was a member of First Street Baptist Church. He worked as a master operator at Phelps Dodge for over 30 years and most recently worked for 22 years in maintenance at AmFine Chemical Corp.
He owned the following clubs: Teenage Splash, Down Stroke, The Odyssey, The Tierra Club, and Fox's Den.
He enjoyed going to church, working, and going out. He was always well-dressed and kept a smile on his face.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his biological mother, Katherine Russell, and siblings, Barbara Johnson, Hazel "Tiny" Jones, Louise Johnson, and Carol F. Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Felicia Baker Bryant; 5 children, LaCherie (Jerry) Fails, Kenneth Wallace, LaTara (Anthony) Pearson, LaDessa (Derrick) Bryant Lewis, James "Foxx" (Bettye) Bryant; 3 stepchildren, Lartedris Baker, Felicia D. Baker, Brittany Baker; 3 siblings, Patricia Murray, Portia Jones, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Doug) Armstrong; 10 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
