Jesse James Acree, 84, Hopkinsville, passed on Sunday, January 29, 2023, of natural causes.

Jesse, the son of the late Joe and Jannie Brandon Acree, was born on March 7, 1938, in Trigg County.

Jesse was a mason and was a member of the U.S. Army for 27 years.

He enjoyed traveling, reading, and people watching from his front porch.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by 1 son, James Acree; and 2 siblings, Frank Acree, and Marjorie Love.

Survivors include his 2 children, Lawrence Acree, Barbara Acree (Alto) Lee; 6 siblings, JoAnn Osborne, Nettie McKay, William Leroy Acree, Harry Acree, William Lee Stepp, Robert Stepp; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
