Jessie Mae Wilford Merritt, 87, Hopkinsville, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in Hopkinsville.

Jessie, the daughter of the late, Mallie B. Wilford and Wister Wilford, was born on October 18, 1937, in Trigg CO. KY.

Jessie was a faithful member of Gordonsville Baptist Church, where she was a part of the Mother's Board, Senior Choir and Pastor's Greatest Supporters. She was employed with Vicky Sisk and Jane Myers.

Jessie enjoyed traveling, cooking and attending church, cooking for her family, going to Adult Day Care, and watching Gunsmoke.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Roy Merritt; Daughter, Reva Oldham; Sisters and Brothers.

Survivors include her children, Gwyen (Sonja) Coleman, Jr., Dorothea (Billy) Russell, Ronnie (Ida) Merritt, Roy M. Merritt, Richard M. Merritt, Mary Bussell; sister, Readae WIlford; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
