John, the son of the late Monroe and Lynetta Collins Harris, was born on October 27, 1923, in Logan County.
John was a general worker at Gamble Funeral Home.
He enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by 1 sister, Lucy Jane Harris; 1 niece, Dora Gamble Bibbs; and 1 nephew, Raymond P. Gamble.
Survivors include his devoted niece, Sarah Sweatt; niece, Vivianne Grenese; 2 nephews, Clarence (Marie) Gamble, and Joe (Carolyn) Gamble.
