Josie Dean James Stewart, 61, Clarksville, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, in Clarksville, TN.

Josie, the daughter of the late Clarence Burks and Queen Ester Bailey James, was born on August 4, 1963, in St. Joseph, LA.

Josie was a member of Life Tabernacle Pentecostal Church where she was on the nursing home team, Sunday School Teacher, church bus attendant, greeter, and neighborhood outreach. She was a Manager at Walmart. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, singing, and working.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Carrie Byrd.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Frankie Stewart; Son, Erik Stewart; Daughters, April Stewart and Amina Sterling; Siblings, Tommy L.(Johanna) James, Sammy Burks, Terrion Burks, Cathryn Thompson, Lula San Augustin, Patricia (Frank) Gill, Shannon Burks, Patricia Burks, Esther (Bobby) Grant, and Diantha (Curtis) Ford; and 5 grandchildren.
