Julia Mae Bailey West, 88, Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2024, in Hopkinsville, KY.

Julia, the daughter of the late John and Georgia Bailey, was born on March 3, 1936, in Christian Co. KY.

Julia was a member of Durrett Avenue Baptist Church and was employed in the Dietary Department at Western State Hospital, where she retired in 1991.

She enjoyed cooking, pets, flowers, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Leonia Bailey and Queenastere Turnley.

Survivors include her son, Charles (Bonita) Ferguson; siblings, Betty Warner, Lillian (Marion) Wimberly, Virginia Irene Greenwade, Bishop G.W. (Sheila) Bailey, and J.T. Bailey; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
