Kenneth Ray (Kenny) Boyd was born on October 30, 1965, in Trigg County, KY. The son of Iven Boyd, Sr. and the late Edna Palmer Boyd. He attended Rocky Ridge Baptist Church as a small child until he was placed at Hazelwood/New Vista Center in Louisville, KY, where he remained until he rested in the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In addition to his his mother, he was also preceded in death by a nephew, Lorenzo Boyd; grandparents; aunts and uncles, and cousins.

Kenneth is survived by his father, Iven Boyd, Sr.; Siblings, Pamela (Clarence) Shearer, Jennifer (Larry) Jasper, Kimberly (William) Linton, Ivan Boyd Jr., Michael Rosaland Boyd, Carl (Rozenna) Boyd, and James (Aretha) Boyd; 2 Devoted Aunts, Rosa Howard and Antionette Boyd; a host of nieces and nephews; god brothers and god sisters; several devoted cousins; and devoted caregivers of Hazelwood/New Vista Center.
