Marsha Daphane Southern, 70, Hopkinsville, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, in Christian Co.
Marsha was the daughter of Donald Southern, Sr. and Norma Christine Johnson. She was born on August 24, 1953, in Christian Co. Ky.
Marsha was a member of Freeman Chapel CME Church. She enjoyed coloring, playing and listening to music, baby dolls, singing Christmas carols, eating sweets, and jewelry. Marsha had a beautiful smile and spirit. She was the first African American poster child for Jerry Lewis.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Keith A. Hart, Melvin Howard, Jr., Phyllis Hart and Donald Southern, Jr.
Survivors include her siblings, Teresa Howard, Gwendolyn Johnson Waggoner, Carmen Mills Shabazz, Kenneth (Lakita) Hart, Willie (Stephanie) Hart, Jr., Phillip (Patricia) A. Hart, Christopher (Stephanie) Hart, and Bobby Spikes; Devoted cousin, Ronald (Ann) Norman; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
