Mary Alice Faulkner, 75, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital Midtown, Nashville, Tennessee. She was born November 15, 1946, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Jessie William Herschel Faulkner and Alsie Dawson. She was also preceded in death by three siblings, Jessie Lee Faulkner, Herschel Faulkner, and Mary Ellen Faulkner.

A member of First Street Missionary Baptist Church her entire church life, she gave her life to God at a very young age. Mary has always been a compassionate and caring individual when it came to friends and family. Everyone loved her, and she was considered one of the favorites in the family. With such a kind heart, she spent many years as a devoted, watchful grandmother helping and supporting her family. She worked at Western State Hospital in the housekeeping department and as a home health caregiver over the years. An avid walker, she literally walked two or three miles constantly until she could not stride due to health reasons. She enjoyed watching westerns, mysteries, action movies, reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family. She always had a smile on her face.

Mary is survived by her children Calvin (Bertha) Faulkner (Hopkinsville), Kenneth (Angenette) Faulkner of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jonetta Dennis of Nashville, Tennessee and Marian Conolly of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She has 11 grandchildren, Neikki, Tony Jr., Jacarra, Preston, KJ, David III, June, Tonya, Sharon, Marcus and Danisha, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
