Mary Virginia Major Poole 91, was born March 20, 1929 in Pembroke, KY. to the late Walter Major and Gracie Morrow Major.  She retired in 1990 from Western State Hospital after 33 years of dedicated service as a Licensed Practical nurse (LPN).

She loved her church and was a faithful servant until the end.

She was a member of First Street Baptist Church.

Mary Virginia Poole passed away on March 24, 2020 at St Thomas West Hospital, Nashville, TN.

Survivors:

Children: Earl Poole, Ewell (Bettye) Poole, Garnett Poole, Sandra Poole, Starla (Donald) Abernathy, Velva Poole

Siblings: 2 Sisters, Lucy Quinny, and Thelma Emerson.

1 God Daughter: Jonita Moore (A devoted caretaker)

She leaves to mourn 12 Grandchldren, 13 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, many relatives, and a wide circle of friends and family.

A private funeral for the immediate family only, due to social distancing will be held at Gamble Funeral home. A private burial at Cave Spring Cemetery in Hopkinsville, KY.
