Mattie Lou Woods, 87, Adairville, passed on Thursday, February 22, 2024, of natural causes.

Mattie, the daughter of the late Vernon and Harriet Batts Woods, was born on September 21, 1936, in Springfield, TN.

Mattie was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church; she was a lifelong member and served on the usher board for many years. She was also a caregiver.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Bessie Mae Taylor, Hattie Beatrice Hayden, and Margaret Woods; and brothers, Billy Woods, James Woods, Oliver Woods, Bobby Woods, and George Woods.

Survivors include a brother, Charles (Otha-Dean) Woods, a sister-in-law, Lounice Woods, and a host of nieces and nephews.
