Maxine passed away quietly at home on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. Maxine Moss was born May 10, 1944 in Christian County, KY. she was the daughter of Rev Rivers M Moss and Rosa Lee Bacon Moss. She became a member of Gracey Baptist Church at an early age. She served on the Usher Board and continued to be a faithful member.
Maxine was a graduate of Attucks High School Class of 1962. She was employed at Flynn and Hopkinsville Clothing for many years until retirement. She enjoyed sewing and crafting in her spare time. Maxine was an avid gardener. She loved her plants and spent many hours tending them. She created a garden at her church and enjoyed reading her magazines. She also worked with Feed America Program. Maxine had fought a courageous health battle the past 10 months.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Rivers and Rosa. Her twin infant sister Glodean, and infant brother Robert, Rivers B. Moss, and Paul L. Moss.
Maxine is survived by siblings James V. Moss, Elizabeth M Burden, and Goldie L. Arline (Maurice). Sister-in-law Golorea Moss. Aunt to nieces and nephews, Patricia (Rory), Pauline, Pamela, Alison, Alicia (Ron), Stefanie, Maura (Flint) and Paul Jr. She also will be missed by a host of great nieces, nephews, family ,caring neighbors, and friends.
A private graveside service for the immediate family only, due to social distancing will be held 06/04/2020 at 1:00PM at Cave Spring Cemetery Hopkinsville, KY.
