Montrel Vashon Kelly, 39, Hopkinsville, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, in Louisville, KY.

Montrel was the son of the late Ronald Kelly and James and Stephanie Brown. He was born on April 29, 1984, in Hartsville, S.C.

He accepted the gift of salvation at an early age. His love for our most holy God was present throughout his life. He was employed at Mid-Continent Springs. He enjoyed Barbecuing, listening to music, watching movies on YouTube, swimming, spending time with family and friends, and making people laugh.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Kamesha Polk; Maternal Grandfather, Walter Reeves, Jr.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by his son, Vashon Kelly; Fiancé, Ashley Davis; sister, Corshounda (Rev. Frederick) Miller; maternal grandmother, Alice Reeves; stepchildren, JaQualeion (Qua) Bell and Areionna Davis; Uncle, Robert Reeves; nieces, Amaya Barnes, Deshawnna George, and Brianna George; great nephew, James Turnipseed; a host of Aunts, uncles, and cousins.
