Deacon Mose Thomas Bell, son of the late Grant Bell and Mary Helen West Bell, was born December 8, 1938, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the age of 87, Deacon Mose Bell departed from this life.
Realizing the need for spiritual and divine guidance, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined the West Union Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Trustee. He was a faithful and dedicated member of his church.
During his employment, he worked as an assistant manager at Cayce Mill Lighting and retired after thirty years. He was also a self-employed Realtor. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, farming, playing cards, and working with his hands. He was a member of the CB Club; his handle was 212 “Jack of Diamonds.” He was known to his children as the best father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lurlean Wright Manning, and brothers Alonzo Cushenberry, Ernest Bell, Sammie Bell Jr., and Ernest Lee Word.
Deacon Mose Bell leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Frances Marie Reese Bell. Children, Jimmy Mitchell Bell and Helen Marie (Leonard) Shadding; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends.
