Phillip Daniel Cotton Sr., 81, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023.

Phillip was the son of the late David Cotton Sr. and Esther Louise Keel Cotton, raised by Mary Lettie Cotton. He was born on November 12, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio.

Phillip was a military veteran of the United States Army where he served for three years. He was also an active member of Great Christ Temple Apostolic Church in Nashville, TN, were he attended from 1992. In addition to attending church, he loved to talk to people about current events, politics, and sports.

He is preceded in death by his siblings David, Michael, Mark, Kenath, Zerita (Veals), Paul Cotton and Shaquille M. Cotton (grandson).

Survivors include Marjorie Croney Cotton (wife) of 55 years until the end, Lettie Ward (sister), Eric Cotton (brother), Phillip Cotton Jr., Tanya Lawrence, and Todd Cotton (children), seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
