Retired Sgt. Nathaniel Jackson, 82, Herndon, passed Thursday, June 16, 2022, of natural causes.

Born on March 10, 1940, in Cairo, GA., Nathaniel is the son of the late Green Jackson Sr. and Osceola Pugh Jackson.

He was a custodian in the Mongomery Co. School System and attended Second Baptist Church for over 50 years.

Retired Sgt. Jackson served in the Army for 20 years and was a Vietnam Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his wife, Dora Ann Acree Jackson; 1 daughter, Karen Jackson; 2 grandchildren, Dorris Acree, and Shantel Jackson; 5 brothers; and 1 sister

Survivors include 1 son, George Jackson; 7 daughters, Denise Jackson, Monica Jackson, Muriel (Dorris) Wilson, Dornicho (Robert) McGee, Shakaria (Jonathan) Beene, Dionne (Joe) Wills, Martika (Antonio) Howard; 1 sister, Frankie (Arthur) Jackson-Hardy; a great aunt, Reatha Walker; a sister-in-law, Ruby Hendrix; 25 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews
