Rev. Robert Lawrence Boyd, 89, Cadiz, died Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Tennova Hospital, Clarksville, TN of natural causes.

Services will be at 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Gamble Funeral Home with the Rev. Perry Boyd offficiating.  Burial will be in the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Cadiz, KY.

A native of Trigg County, he was born December 29, 1930, son of the late Willie Lee Pree Boyd and Estella Bingham Boyd.

He was a member of the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and a member of the Choir.  After being called into the ministry he pastored the Bethel Berry Baptist Church for 7 years and later pastored the McCarroll Hill Baptist Church for 37 and a half years.

He was a US Army Veteran and a retired Farmer.

in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Boyd, twins, Marvin and Darvin Boyd, and 7 siblings.

Survivors include his sons- Rev. Perry (Donerica) Boyd, Terry (Regina) Boyd, Daughters, Barbara Wilder, Wanda (Gerry) Chiles, and Sharon Boyd, Brother, Iven Boyd, Sisters-Rose Howard, Dorothy Wilson, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.
